Helping Your Outdoor Furniture Survive the Outdoors

There are a lot of options for outdoor wicker patio furniture , it can be hard to decide just which is the right one for you. One very common choice is for people to get resin outdoor patio furniture as opposed to wood or metal patio furniture. At first glance, it might seem like this is solely because resin furniture is quite inexpensive relative to other materials, but there is more to it than just that.

Taking a little time to research this kind of outdoor wicker patio furniture can lead to nice results in the long run. The chief advantage that resin patio furniture has over the more traditional metal or wood furniture is that it doesn’t rot or corrode. This is rather nice for something that will be outdoors and will get wet.

Wood has to be cut, carved, and sometimes bent into the right shape. This takes a lot of energy, even when done automatically, and it generates a lot of waste (which is usually recycled, but it is a lot of wood that doesn’t go to making the actual furniture). Metal has to be heated up to fairly extreme temperatures and then cast into the mold. In addition, the weight is so high that moving and transporting it can take a lot of effort. Resin wicker patio furniture, on the other hand, doesn’t have to be heated anywhere near as high as metal, and can be molded quite easily. It also is a lot lighter and easier to ship.

Finally, another nice aspect of resin outdoor patio furniture is that it allows for a wide variety of designs to be made that might not be possible with either wood or metal. Wood, being the organic material it is, has some limitations to the amount of shaping that can be done to it. Metal, on the other hand, is so heavy that it can’t be shaped in certain designs because the structure couldn’t necessarily support the weight. You can see just how varied the designs for resin furniture are by visiting our website, so check it out. You are sure to find something that will fit your plan.

I agree, I think wicker patio furniture look great, and the price is lower than other materials, however I think they don't last as long as teak or metal. If you have a covered patio, or a place where you can put the furniture for the winter or rainy season then I suggest go with wicker. If you don't then chose something more durable.
